We are currently supporting people whose homes were destroyed by Cyclone Remal in May 2024.

In the past we responded to help people who fled to Bangladesh to escape violence in Myanmar. We have also responded in Bangladesh due to extreme flooding on several occasions.

Where is Bangladesh?

Bangladesh is a coastal country in southern Asia. It borders India in the north, west and north east. It also borders Myanmar in the south west. Nepal and Bhutan are close by to the north.

In the south, Bangladesh borders the Bay of Bengal. A large portion of the country consists of the delta of the Ganges River. Its position on the coast and predominantly low-lying land leaves the country vulnerable to flooding.
