ShelterBox benefits from the tireless efforts of a strong and extensive support base of in all sorts of ways. This important work is vital to our operations and our awareness raising efforts, enabling us to help more and more people around the world
For details on various opportunities, view our volunteer brochure here.
One way of volunteering is to become a ShelterBox Ambassador. Ambassadors are the face of ShelterBox in their communities. They make contact with organizations including service clubs, religious, professional, and youth groups, and then introduce those audiences to the ShelterBox mission – thus building awareness of the organization through their public engagements. Our Ambassadors also display our ShelterBox equipment at community festivals, hold fundraisers, post on their blogs – anything to help raise the profile of ShelterBox in their community.
Our volunteers need to learn about the organization, the contents of the ShelterBoxes and the details of how we operate so that they can represent us fairly and truthfully. We equip our Ambassadors with materials, DVDs, training resources, and frequent updates, and they spread the word throughout their communities
